Houston Museum of Natural Science visits Livingston Municipal Library with their Discovery Dome. The indoor, traveling planetarium will take us on a journey not possible anywhere else! The show times are: -Accidental Astronauts (grades 2-3) 10:30 a.m. Follow the adventures of Cy and Annie and their dog Armstrong as they embark on an unexpected journey into space! Explore the Earth, Sun, and Moon with a wise-cracking starship computer. Bounce along the surface of the Moon, get up close and personal with a solar storm, and gain a new appreciation of our home planet. -Larry Cat in Space (grades preK-1) 11:10 a.m. This is a playful, imaginative cartoon presentation about an inquisitive cat who takes a trip to the Moon. Through Larry’s eyes, we experience weightlessness and view the Earth from orbit. Then we join Larry exploring the Moon’s surface and discovering what it’s like to weigh only 2 pounds. -Dawn of the Space Age (All ages) 11:50 a.m. This animated full-dome experience recreates great moments in human spaceflight from Sputnik to Apollo on the Moon, to the International Space Station, and on to Mars. You are there, sharing each step of our journey into space, a part of every adventure. -Tales of a Time Traveler (grades 5-12) 12:30 p.m. Time travel surrounds you – from the biological clock in your brain, to the history of life on Earth, to the lives of stars, the time scale of the Big Bang, and the distortion of time by gravity. David Tennant, the 10th Doctor in the Dr. Who series is your guide through all of time. -Dark Side of the Moon (grades 6-adult) 1:10 p.m. Pink Floyd's legendary album is transformed into an immersive full-dome rock concert filled with lights and action!
